User can download the example projects for 56F84789 from:

The example package is under ‘Software Development Tools -> Lab and Test Software’ in the above page.
It contains the example projects for CAN and SCI driver which are both based on PE.
The flash security operations are same on 56F84xxx and Kinetis products, so you can refer to this document:

User can still reprogram the 56F84xxx after flash is secured, just mass erase the flash before reprogramming.
