Hi

Is it possible to decode movies (ex. h264) on the MCIMX6QP4AVT1AA (iMX6QP "no VPU" version)?

Best regards,

Andy

Hi Andrzej

yes, please look at sect.6.5.2 Video codec specifications attached Release Notes.

The tables in this section show the video codec specs with and without VPU acceleration.

Best regards

Hi Igor

Thanks for the reply!

Is there any difference in power consumption between "VPU" and "no VPU" iMX versions when no movie is decoded? (in other words - does the VPU unit consume some power even when it is not used)?

Best regards

Andy
