OK, got it to work.  Here's what I did.

1. Install CW using the default path: C:\Freescale..., not c:\Program Files\freescale...

2. Install the DSC Support updates using Help > Install New Software.  This seems to get the missing  files that eGit install was complaining about.

3. Then the instructions in

https://mcuoneclipse.com/2013/08/13/installing-egit-in-eclipse-and-codewarrior-for-mcu10-4/

will work.  Use the juno version.

the Git update works normal from my side.

yes, on my side I already have DSC update installed and CW is in folder C:\Freescale\CW MCU v10.6.4
