We are using serdes tool to validate serdes, encounter some issues, could you please help to give some suggestions?

1. What is the difference between Digital Loopback, External Loopback, external when do BIST?

    Do these three concepts mean whether the serdes is loopback in serdes module internal or external?

    For example:

    if serdes module is set as loopback, then it is Digital loopback;

    and if serdes is connected with a FPGA or CPLD, we connect the TX/RX each other for serdes in the FPGA/CPLD,

    then it is external loopback?

2. After test, do I only need to click "generate code" button to generate a code, and according these code

   to set serdes registers?
