Hi,

The page about the LPCXpresso v2 mentions that these boards have a segger j-link firmware available. Unfortunately, this seems not to work. The firmware that is available with the flash tool states that the j-link firmware only works with the standalon LPCLink2, there is no segger firmware for the embedded LPCLink2 on the new LPCXpresso boards.

I really could use this ...

We (SEGGER) also plan to create a firmware for the on-board LPCLink2 on the LPCXpresso boards.
Keep you posted regarding the progress there.

Thanks.

J-Link is a perfect tool and we have a whole bunch of those at the office but it's good to have a simple target (I currently use an LPCXpresso11u68) that I can use as a standalone solution in the train.
Meanwhile I did not want to wait for a solution on the LPCXpresso 2 board so I bought an LPCLink 2 and I am now working on a target that I can use while traveling.

Yep ... I'm one of those (or possibly the only) persons who does on-target debugging while traveling by train  :D

Note: still some wiring to do to connect the LCD and I also need to add a board with a few switches for the UI

Been there, done that.

The LPCLink2 configuration tool at the bottom of that page contains images for CMSIS-DAP and J-Link but that one only is available for the separate LPCLink2 module with the LPC4370 processor and not for the LPCXpesso board that only has an LPC4320.

It seems like NXP is promising me to be able to use the board directly from crossworks but alas ...
I have to wait a few days for my LPCLink2 modules to arrive.

Regards,

Rob

Looks like you need to get it from Segger directly. You need to accept their license.
