I have heard rumors about a new version of the lpc-link from a NXP insider.

Can anybody confirm this ?

The rumor says, "this new version will be open", giving the possibility to support other toolchains.

I would be interested, than, to know :
- could existing lpcxpresso boards be updated ? (probably not)
- when can I expect support from other toolchains for lpc-link V2 ?

Actually not.

The question is serious, at least from my side.

The 'rumor' refers to a mail from a NXP employee I am in contact with.
My company is currently about to evaluate several M0 devices for certain projects.

By the way - we had a visit from NXP sales persons about that time (coincidently and not related to this mail mentioned above).
That sales person stated "with LPC-Link NXP implemented its own debug adapter, because other companies like Keil and Segger did not want share their ULink / JLink implementation with NXP". (I did not comment on that ).
