I could not install the VCOM driver for the lpcXpresso 1769. I followed the instructions as supplied in : http://www.embeddedartists.com/sites/default/files/support/xpr/base/LPCXpresso_BaseBoard_rev_B_Users_Guide_Rev_B.pdf

I downloaded the build version : 2.08.14 from http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm

When i try to do a driver update on the "unknown device" by pointing to the unzipped \CDM20814_WHQL_Certified folder  , windows replied "The best driver software has been installed - unknown device"

The LED2 on the lpcxpresso 1769 is blinking red so i guess the board is fine.

I have tested on 2 new boards, the same result.

I am using windows 7 home, service pack 1, 64bit operating system.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this please advise.
