Are you all using the full $999 compiler, or is the 128k download limit version enough?

I'm going to do a simple datalogger with USB and CAN. Hoping not to layout the $999

= 25-30k :)

If you need more than 128k for a simple CAN -> USB datalogger, you should spend the money for a C training course.

128k seems like quite a lot of code space to me. How much space would be used by a USB stack?
