I am using LPCXpresso 7.7.2, and trying to run the example program "periph_blinky" in LPCOpen package. It compiles fine. If I connect the LPC812-MAX board to my PC (Windows 7 x64) with the USB cable directly, PC cannot connect to Redlink server. And then I try LPCLink 2 board (connecting the JTAG on two boards together, using J7 on LPCLink 2). On starting the debugging session, it gives error like this :

Error in final launch sequence
Error: Error reported by server (redlinkserv.exe):
RedlinkAPI: Wire Ack Fault - target connected?
Redlink Server has been terminated and will be restarted.
Please restart your debug session.
If the problem recurs, please power cycle your debug probe and restart LPCXpresso.

Could anyone please advise?

Thanks. Shorting JP1 on LPC812-MAX works.

The normal reason for failing to debug using the built in probe on these boards is that you have not installed the required mbed Windows serial driver.

And if you want to use an external debug probe such as LPC-Link2 with the board, then please ensure that you have fitted a jumper on JP1 (to disable the onboard debug).
