Vbb in RTC
Hi I’m using battery backup in the circuited same as below

But in user Manuel say

Is it means I can the below circuit

A lot of MCUs don't have this included diodes (especially older types) and propably a lot of new schematics are just a copy   :O  of older schematics (or used for several different MCU)...

You don't trust a R2D2 unit ?

The MCB4300 Eval board (schematic available on the net) has Vbat connected directly, too.
