Multi layer support

Hi there,

I was just wondering if the lpc4357 lcd controller supports multi layer features.
Until now I've been working with a single layer using the emwin gui. Now I wanted to use two layers,
but I'm getting trouble. I've taken a look into the datasheets and google, but found no hint about this.

Hello Florian,

the LCD controller inside our MCUs does not support multiple layers or displays.
We can only generate one sort of timing, but even if you would two identical displays (or use one with two layers) the DMA cannot be controlled in such a way that each display gets its own data.
So even with a little bit help from software and maybe some external hardware you will not be able to put something reasonable together.
