Hello,

My company is working on a new design for high performance motor control. We would prefer to use an NXP MCU, equipped with a Cortex-M4F and fast, (at least) 12 bit ADCs. Additional cores are optional, but potentially useful for us. The LPC4370 is not a first-hand option due to only coming in BGA packages. An LPC1500 MCU, but equipped with a Cortex-M4F core would be very good.

Does NXP plan to release such an MCU in the foreseeable future?

We know there is the LPC4000 series, but we would like to have a higher ADC conversion rate than 400 kHz.

BR,

Hi GTA,

NXP is continuously designing new products into our MCU lineup.  Certainly there will be new M4F devices coming in the future which could work for your motor control needs, but as you may know the design cycles take some time and we can't comment publicly on our design queue.
Today's LPC1500 provides a strong feature set suitable for sensor and sensorless motor control.  Have you reviewed our application notes to see the capabilities?  Please check with your local NXP representative or distributor for a motor control kit for evaluation.
