Hi,

I am thinking of buying LPC4357-EVB and LPC-Link2 to start my project. Will they work nicely together with LPCXpresso IDE?

Thanks

I presume that you are asking if LPCXpresso 6 supports the use of LPC-Link2 to connect LPC18/43 targets - the answer to this is yes.

LPCXpresso 6 is out, does it include LPC18/43 support?

It is supported. I am happily using an LPC-Link2 with LPCXpresso IDE here. But the LPC-Link2 functionality in LPCXpresso just doesn't support LPC18/43 as a target MCU yet. - as stated in the FAQ that LPCXpresso Support pointed you at.

HTH!

Not in the current LPCXpresso 5 release no. As per the other threads previously referenced and the below FAQ, LPC43 will be supported via LPC-Link2 in a forthcoming release.

Hi,

This page says Redlink already is supported by LPCXpresso 5:

http://www.code-red-tech.com/RedSuite5/lpcxpresso-5.php

"JTAG/SWD interfaces supported
Red Probe+,
RDB-Link,
Redlink,
LPC-Link"

Maybe that is just a typo?

Hi,

Isn't it possible /supported) if you use Code Red Redlink firmware on LPC Link2?

This link mentions the firmwares:

Just to expand on this response, the LPC4357 is already fully supported in the current LPCXpresso 5.2.6, but only using the original LPC-Link (or Red Probe+), not via LPC-Link2. There have been a number of threads about this recently ,if you browse or search the forum.

More generally information on LPC43 support can also be found at:

A new version of the LPCXpresso IDE, to be released very very soon, fully supports LPC4357.
