Hi,
i made a custom board with LPC4357.
i use section 128 MB dynamic external memory DYCS0 on memory map, but i put a 256MB SDRAM on board, (because i didn't know this section don't support 256MB SDRAM).
can i use 128MB of this SDRAM in this mode?
i test it but i can use just a few size of it...
i use this SDRAM: K4S561632C-TC75

I can verify that a IS42S32160D-7BLI-TR (512Megabit / 64 Megabyte)  works just fine at 102MHz clock.

Don't mix up Bits and Bytes  ;-)

DYCS0 supports an address range of 128MBytes, this means that you could have a 1Gbit SDRAM device.
But this range is not supported by the SDRAM controller, for a 16-bit SDRAM the MCU supports up to 512Mbit (= 64MByte) on each CS.

So don't worry, your 256Mbit SDRAM will work.

Thank you very much  ;-)

Hi, I use this SDRAM: K4S561632C-TC75
it is 256Mb, but i put it on DYCS0 that it support 128Mb...
this SDRAM have same footprint and pinout with this SDRAM: K4S281632K that it is 128Mb...
i want know that is possible i put 256Mb on DYCS0 , but use of 128Mb or it is impossible?

If it is a TSOP part, don't they have the same footprint/pinout?
So ... Just replace the chip.
