You should not reuse a defined vid/pid for another use - it will cause many driver problems. You should get one of your own. See

i have used NXP VCOM demo code but disable serial port for data transmission.
i'm using this for application downloading and keep VID and PID ID same as VCOM.

Use of Application:
1) Connect USB to computer and computer will generate COM port
2) user can select virtual COM port No. ( Disable baudrate,parity and stopbit selection because serial port is disable for data transmission)
3) now user can download application through selected port mention in step 2.

Can i use same PID for my appliaction or i need to register for new PID?
