Hello,

SSP1, on LPC1778 (don't now other chips from the family) , works only in Microwire mode!
No matter I do (resets, clock, etc), CR0 register for SSP1 keeps bit #5 high, which results in fixing the port to operate in Microwire mode! Two other SSPs (0,2) work fine and can be configured to any modes.

No description in errata for that. How it is possible, the bug like that was not identified?

Did anybody come across this issue? Weird, the only comment I can have.

Thanks, Regards,
Piotr.

hi, michcior,

this is weird. The reset state should be SPI. I double checked a lpc1788 chip, it seems to be correct.
I would really check the state when breaking at the reset handler and set in to see what execution changed this setting.
The LPCOpen has sample project for you to try if needed.
