I love the simple to use MRT-Timer on the LPC8xx controller. I was happy to read that this timers are also implemented in the new LPC15xx controllers. But WHY are the timer registers only 24 bit wide? With a 72 MHz system clock the longest timeout possible is only 233 ms. This is too short for most applications, e.g. serial receive timeout. Now i have to learn the use of SCT for longer timeouts.

Greetings from germany, Erwin
