Hi,

I have a question w.r.t the DFU usng USB on lpc43xx.

Do we need to use the USB boot mode only if we have a DFU USB implementation in place on my device ?
OR
Do we need to use the USB boot mode only if we have a CDC USB  implementation in place on my device ?

I have seen in a ARM9 product that if there is a CDC USB acting as a VirtualCOM one can boot
using the USB but with a precondition that there should be a USB cable connected at power up.

suppose that I have already Serial flash and USART3 boot modes enabled on my platform and I need a USB0 or USB1
boot mode in addition, do I need some special method to achieve booting through USB?

Please consider that I dont intend to implement a DFU but would have a CDC USB rather.

What if I would have a CDC class USB in my firmware and will I have to then support USB boot mode in HW.

Thanks in advance,
