THe LPC18xx/LPC43xx uC's have dedicated USB LED outputs (called USB0 port indicator LED control output, etc).

I have set the correct function number of the pins but there is no activity at all. I can, off course, set the LED's manually using the GPIO mode when the USB device connects/disconnects etc. But what is the point of having a dedicated mode for this? The manual is not mentioning anything at all about these outputs other then in the pin desccription in the USB section.

Anybody a clue what we can do with these LED outputs? And how to use them?

Same question.

What can I do with the Port Indicator LEDs? Is there an advantage to GPIO-controlled LEDs?
