In my sysetm ,power efficiency is not important ,and the mobile ddr is not easy to purchase .
so, I want replace the mobile ddr by  other ddr  just like  ddr on PC,  But I 'dont sure  it can work in order.
hope somebody  to tell me ...
   thanks!

I didnt understand this. i.MX31 specificatin says it supports only mobile DDR. Can i change my board design such that the processor will be able to support normal DDR?
what need to be changed for this? some kind of voltage converter/switch?

AFAIK, mobile DDR doeant support SO-DIMM. Is there any possibility to accomodate this with i.MX31 processor?

I think we need to use normal DIMM if we want to use mobile DDR. Please correct my understanding.

Wouldn't be easy - Mobile DDR is 1.8V version of DDR1. So, unless your board specifically accomodated it you couldn't make the switch.

Indeed it would be very useful to be able to use common 2.5V DDR instad of expenceive LPDDR (we are evaluating  mx27 processors)
Any advice from freescale people on how to do is welcome. Thanks
