CWHC08 V6.1 Project window pull down list

Hi!  In prior versions of CW, the pull down list in the project window was a list of targets.  In a project created with 6.1 the list is a list of Connections.  A project created with v3.1 but opened in v6.1 has the list of targets in the pull down (desired result).

Is there a way to change the pull down list to be the list of targets rather than connections?

Thanks,

Bill

Hello

The Technical note TN241 includes a section called "Using Build Targets" which explains that.
You should be able to find this Technical Note in {Install}\Help\PDF directory.

I hope this helps.

Thanks, that did help.  I use different "targets" for building release or debug flavors of the application and it is far more convenient to use the pull down.

I tried the same thing in CodeWarrior 6.2 and it works fine, however when I close & reopen a project the target list disappears again.

Note I already checked that :

- the .prefs file is NOT readonly
- I have full rights to "program files\Freescale"
- I clicked save in the "custimize ide commands" window.

Maybe a bug in CW 6.2 (ide 5.9?? )

Hello

This is working fine for me.
I suppose there is an issue with your configuration.

Do you have read/write access to your whole CodeWarrior installation directory?

I would recommend you to submit a service request to get a support engineer to look at that..

Click here to submit a service request.

Make sure to attach a reproducible project and installed product information to the service request.
To generate the required information:
- Start CodeWarrior
- Open the project
- Select "Help" -> "Pack and Go" and follow instructions on the screen.

Attach the generated .zip file to the SR.
