We are using the MPC8540 with a Marvel 88e1111 for GMII. Lately we've been having a problem reassembling large UDP packets when transmitted to the 8540. I am told that we are using the GIANFAR driver with Linux. Is there somebody that can tell me how the GIANFAR driver works when reassembling packets? For example is the data stored in DDR ram for reassembly. Packets under the limit seem to work just fine its only large packets that are a problem. I'm trying to narrow down what hardware might be the problem.
