For the ethernet TCP/IP communications, the customer will need to implement TCP IP stack. Interniche TCP IP stack was ported to MCF5223x and is provided by NXP for free.
There was Ethernet Seminar back in 2006 on MCF52235, and all the seminar documents&software is available to download from NXP web page:

The documentation for Interniche TCP IP stack API is in the archive file.
The API should allow the customer to write some simple connect and send type applications.
