How does one use CWS12v5.2 to create a new basic project to work with the MC9S12E64 derivative? It appears that the PE does not have that option available. If true (which is a big deal) then when will MC9S12E64 be added back?

If using debug to load previously built .sx files (instead of .sx file from basic project), can an alternative derivative be used instead for basic project (e.g. MC9S12C64)?

I believe CWS12v5.1 supports MC9S12E64. However, CWS12v5.1 does not appear to be install-able on certain Win7 machines.

Hi,

CW5.2 only includes support for the following derivatives. This is NXP market decision:

    - MC9S12C128, MC9S12C32, MC9S12C64, MC9S12C96

    - MC9S12G128, MC9S12G96

    - MC9S12GC128, MC9S12GC16, MC9S12GC32, MC9S12GC64

    - MC9S12GN16, MC9S12GN32

    - MC9S12P32, MC9S12P64, MC9S12P96, MC9S12P128

    - MC9S12XEP100, MC9S12XEP768

    - MC9S12XEQ384, MC9S12XEQ512

    - MC9S12XET256

    - MC9S12XS128, MC9S12XS256, MC9S12XS64

- MC9S12VR16, MC9S12VR32, MC9S12VR48, MC9S12VR64

If you want to use other hcs12(x) devices, We suggest you use CW5.1.

CW5.1 can also support 32/64bit win7 officially without problem.

however the original install CW5.1 doesn't support some P&E tool such as Multilink FX, in this case if you want to use CW5.1 + Multilink FX, please install Patch for (S)12(X) 3rd Party Software  from P&E website:

can this help you?

Have a great day,
