I am C++ programmer, i bought "C - How to Program from Deitel" and planing to build a Fire alarm control panel and their modules, so my questions are:
- What MCU i should use in the control panel, the S08QE?
- What MCU i should use to modules (detectors, manual call points, etc).
- What are the protocol commonly used, so i can use third party modules, for class A and B.
- Any reference design to start?
- What protocol to start?
- Any good literature to read about fire alarms?
- This book i got is good? Any other advice about programming books?
I know this is a long process, just starting in MCU world, but i will do it, and any tips are really appreciated.
