Hello!
What is a size of SRAM for MCF52232 and MCF52236 devices? Datasheet suggests 32K for all MCF5223x family members, but received samples of MCF52232CAF50 has marked 16K on package. So, I need definitive answer...

Hi,

   52232 has 128K Flash and 32K SRAM

   52236 has 256K Flash and 32K SRAM

I will submit a problem report on the product summary page.   Check out the attached 5223x family fact sheet.

I can tell you that uTasker is an excellent choice for this family of products.  Works well, easy to use, really well supported, and has a nice memory footprint!   Thanks Mark for all your hard work!!!

Hi Rick

Thanks for the feedback - the product summary does clarify everthing.

The uTasker does fit very well with this family and the M5223X has proven to be very popular for various industrial projects. The price of the M52232 and M52236 is making it even more attractive and swinging the choice in projects where the M52233/5 was originally seen as unsuitable.

Congratulations to Freescale for these devices and the complete tool packet which makes it a dream to work with.

Watch out for our new USB stack which will be integrated in the uTasker package shortly!

Hi

Could I extend the question also to the FLASH sizes? In the user manual the 52236 is marked with 256k FLASH but on the parametrics page is is given as 128k (link below)!!

http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/prod_summary.jsp?code=MCF5223X&tab=Buy_Parametric_Tab&fromS...

The parametrics page should really be updated since it is rather confusing, only partically complete and possibly wrong in some instances. Eg. according to it, the 52235 in BGA has neither FLASH, RAM nor peripherals...

Regards

Mark
