Question, i.MX6UltraLite and NAND flash

Hi team,

My customer is considering the use of following Micron/NAND flash chip with i.MX6UltraLite.

NAND512W3A2SN6E or MT29F1G08ABAEAWP-IT:E or MT29F2G08ABAFAWP-IT:F

Or MT29F32G08CBADBWPR:D

I think all those chips can be used for i.MX6UltraLite, according to its reference manual.

Could you please double-check that those NAND chips, as a boot device or a storage device, can be used with i.MX6UL?

Please find the attached files for the datasheet.

Thanks,

Miyamoto

Hello,

The mentioned  NANDs may be used with i.MX6UL.

In particular, according to section 8.5 [Boot Devices (Internal Boot)] of the i.MX6UL RM :
"Raw NAND (MLC and SLC), and Toggle-mode NAND flash through GPMI-2

interface. Page sizes of 2 Kbyte, 4 Kbyte and 8 Kbyte. Bus widths of 8-bit with 2

through 40-bit BCH Hardware ECC (Error Correction) are supported."

Have a great day,
Yuri
