App with curl dependency on IMX6 - Board fails to boot

I created a simple application which uses curl to download a file. In my Makefile.am, I added
LDFLAGS = -lcurl

and in myapp.bb, I added
DEPENDS = curl

I added my app in local.conf as
IMAGE_INSTALL_append += “myapp”

The build went fine and when I try to boot on a IMX6 board, it refuses to boot. If I remove all the curl dependencies, it boots fine.

Has anyone tried an app with curl and been able to boot properly? If you see any other steps that I am missing here, can you help me out please?

What exact error message you are getting on boot?

Hi Victor,

We got the logs through the serial port and we see this

Kernel panic - not syncing: No init found.  Try passing init= option to kernel.                                                                 See Linux Documentation/init.txt for guidance.
