This version of CodeWarrior includes Processor Expert v3.06 for HCS12(x).  First, I create a basic project and then try to open Processor Expert view.  There is a message stating selected CPU 'MC129S12VR48' is not supported by Processor Expert.  The dialog asks me if I want to select a different CPU.

I look under the installation directory <CWS12v5.2>/Processor Expert/CPUs.  Sure enough there is a directory there "MC9S12VR64_48".  However, the components library view only shows VR16 and VR32.  Can someone explain why VR48 and VR64 are not available?

Thanks, Michael Goudey

Hi Michael,

The VR48 is fully supported on HC12 v5.1.

Under V5.2, according to the release note, Processor Expert (PEx) should support the device too.

It's not the case.

VR48 and VR64 is not supported by PEx.

At this time I can not provide you workaround excepted recommend you to use V5.1 and not V5.2.

I will check with Product Manager.

Keep you informed.

Have a great day,

Thank you Pascal.  I hope we can get this fixed, as I am surprised the newer CodeWarrior software does not enable everything from the previous version.

Hi Michael,

Just to inform you I've contacted Processor Expert team (PEx).

All VR devices should be supported through PEx in the V5.2.

The team logged it in the bug base and it should be fixed asap.
