Do KW2xD modules support ZigBee and Thread simultaneously? Such that you can build a device using this module capable of
connecting to both ZigBee and Thread WPANs with stacks provided by NXP alone? What are the limitations?
Sorry for the late response but I recommend you to post your future posts in the Wireless Connectvity Space so we'll be able to see your posts earlier.
The answer to your questions is yes. Since the MKW24D device is supported by the Thread and the BeeStack stacks. Just be sure that you are using the BeeStack 5.0.0 which is based in the Kinetis SDK.
The only one limitation for this is the memory footprint so I think that the MK20Z wont support both stacks.
I hope this helps,
Can someone help with this please? Should I instead use the KW20Z for what I described?
No one on this?
I am sorry for the misplaced post, I will do that next time.
Thanks for your reply though, it helps with the desicion making process.
I was in touch with the connectivity developers and they said me that theoretically our stacks should work in the multi-mode that you are requesting but this option is not offered in our current "off the shelf" stacks so it is not guaranteed that it will work. The NXP efforts point in that direction but we can't ensure a date to have it supported.
