Booting ls1021atwr SDK 1.9 u-boot image from SD

I am trying to boot u-boot from sd card on a ls1021atwr board.

The board states: SCH-28040 REV D1. I expect this board to have a silicon 1.0 CPU installed.

I finally need QSPI support so I am using this binary image from the SDK 1.9 under ls1021atwr:

-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root   547488 Dec  3 15:16 u-boot-sdcard-qspi-2015.01+fslgit-r0.bin*

lr-xr-xr-x 1 root root       40 Dec  3 15:16 u-boot-sdcard-qspi.bin -> u-boot-sdcard-qspi-2015.01+fslgit-r0.bin*

The image is written to SD card as follows:

#~ sudo dd if=<above image> of=/dev/sdX bs=512 seek=8

DIP switches are setup as follows:

SW2: 00100111

SW3: 01100001

I do not get a single character on the serial console.

Does the SDK 1.9 support my CPU silicon? If not, is there still support for this silicon in the used U-Boot sources?
