Hello,

Is there any CPU performance implications when running our controller at 1.8V vs. 3.3V?

i.e. additional flash wait states etc... Can we operate at the full 100Mhz?

Our controller is MK02FN128VFM10.

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

MK02FN128VFM10 can operate at the full 100Mhz, because this chip have wide range of operation voltage:1.71v-3.6V, then you can use 1.8V.

About the detail performance implications when running at 1.8V vs.3.3V, unfortunately, we don't have it until now, you can use the 1.8V operation voltage and test it.

Any question, please contact with us.

Wish it helps you!

If you still have question, please contact me!

Have a great day,

Jingjing

The 100MHz system/core operation is possible at 1.8V in High Speed RUN mode.

In normal run mode 72MHz is possible (again irrespective of supply voltage).

I expect that you will find that the core/Flash is always operating at a lower voltage and so is not dependant on the peripheral voltage supply.

The higher supply voltage only has an effect on the slew rate of ports, where the rise/fall time it is faster at 3V3 than at 1.8V.

Mark
