Hi,

my beloved EE designed a nice board and put UART5 to an level shifter so that I can use it as debug console. My problem is, that I can't configure UART5 with KDS and Processor Expert because that thing only supports UART[0..4].

So any hints for a work around?

Best,

Ingo

Hello Ingo Maindorfer:

You must be confused or the labels in the schematic may be wrong. The existing MK66 does not have UART5, only one Low Power UART (LPUART0) and five standard UARTs (UART0,1,2,3,4).

Please check in the schematics what pins are used and then match the pins to the UART module number using the pinout table in the Datasheet or Reference Manual.

Let me know if you have doubts.

Regards!

Dear Jorge,

ah, now it's clear. There is an issue with our schematic and naming of pin 11 & 12, it's the LPUART.

Many thanks!

Best,

Ingo
