For developing support a second SGTL5000 on our iMX6 platform we are using the SGTL5000 development kit.

We want to use header J1 to control the SGTL5000 over I2C. However there seems to be a conflict with the on board FTDI-USB chip.

The FTDI seems to control the I2C lines at all times, can this be disabled?

Unfortunately, no, it seems to be no way to directly control the SGTL5000 I2C bus without EVK hardware modifications.

Have a great day,
Artur
