startup kit needed for TWR-KL25Z48M

Hi-

I got a TWR-KL25Z48M demo board with Atheros WiFi board mounted underneath. My development GUI is IAR. When I plug in USB cable to the board, my PC shows "unrecognized device".

Someone suggests me to use PEMICRO from IAR to debug the board, but I can't connect it successfully.

Can someone point me to the documents/startup kit/demo project to enable the TWR board? I need it to test communications with WiFi AP.

Thanks!

Hui

Hi

Have you programmed the debugger to the board?

It should show up as a hard drive and on the hard drive there is a link to the P&E web site with instructions and latest drivers.

I have attached the FRDM-KL25 one that I use.

Regards

Mark

Hi Mark,

I believe this TWR board was used by someone else already. So the debugger should be in place. However, when I plug in USB to PC, it doesn't show as a harddrive.

Just now I tried plugging USB while pressing reset button, PC shows "installing openSDA application..." and Device Mangers shows a PEmicro CDC device for a short while. Then everything is gone. USB device still has a question mark on it.

thanks!

Hi,

I am a little confused on what you metioned " use PEMICRO from IAR to debug the board". What you really used as the debugger?

Hi Fang

In IAR GUI, there is Project->Options->Debugger->Driver->PE micro, which is one of the debugging measures supported by IAR.

I am talking about this is because the JTAG is built in on TWR board so I don't need I-jet to load/debug code onto the board. Instead, I can just use a USB cable to do all kinds of those things.

Problem here is I have the TWR board, but nobody can recall how it was brought up, like what PC drivers are needed, how to download code and debug it etc, since it has been long time.

Looking forward to your advise.

Thanks!

Hui
