Hi,

is there any way to control the ILFB / DLFB?

Can I clear them somehow?

How can I make sure a certain entry there gets overwritten?

(I'm using a P4080 with e500mc.)

What is their replacement policy?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Clemens Reibetanz,

I am not aware of a way to clear line fill buffers.  But you could use cache management instructions, such as dcbf and icbi to flush data out.

The DLFB/ILFB are located in LSU, why do you need to control or know the status of them?

The replacement policy of the line fill buffer is not documented.

Have a great day,
Lunmin
