FTM jitter compared to TPM in Kinetis devices

Hello, I am considering using a Kinetis device with the FTM peripheral in an application that has very tight requirements on jitter for certain signals. We had previously discovered that the TPM on Kinetis devices had sufficiently low jitter to meet our application's requirements; however, the ambient temperature ratings were too low. The Kinetis EA family meets our ambient temperature requirements but trades the TPM peripheral for the FTM. Does the FTM have similar jitter to the TPM?

Thanks!

Hi Erik,

You can treat the FTM as an advanced TPM, in another word, the FTM is built upon the TPM.

So I think they have similar property specifications.

Hope this helps!
Have a great day,
