Having difficulty loading program into evaluation board

Hi,

I am using a Macintosh computer running KDS 3.0.0 and SDK 1.2.0. I have watched the video by Jorge_Gonzalez #3195 about 100 times (if not more) and have completed his example. I am having trouble downloading the code to the FRDM-K64F evaluation board. Using the Debugger, I get the following error alert:

J-Link GDB Server failed:

Could not connect to J-Link. Please check if plugged into USB port or Ethernet switch.

For more details, see the JLinkGDBServerCL console.

When I try to load

JLink_OpenSDA_V2_2015-06-11.bin into the bootloader virtual disk, the desktop computer gives an alert that the disk was not ejected properly, and the green LED to blink fast.  Disconnecting the USB cable from the SDA port, reconnecting the cable and pressing reset causes the green LED to blink slowly.

Is there a tutorial or video I can use to work through this process?

Thanks,

Mark

Iva,

Thanks for offering to look over my configuration settings. How can I show them to you, there are many tabs and click boxes? Are some more important than others?

Thanks,

Mark

Hello Mark,

it looks you are still  in  bootloader more.

Please, do you have correctly set J-link for you device?

  • Loading firmware

1. Unplug the USB cable (if attached).

2. Press and hold the Reset button.

3. Plug in a USB cable from a USB Host to the OpenSDA USB port.

4. Release the RESET/Bootloader button.

  • J-link in Device Manager

Please, just for information, take a look at Device Manager if you see J-link in Ports.
