I know ENET throughput performance has a 470mbit/s limitation (in doc: Chip Errata for the i.MX 6Solo/6DualLite) is a hardware erratum in imx6dl platform.
But in my test wifh imx6dl, I can get Ethernet throughput performance with a 415+165 = 580Mbit/s, this is far beyond the limitation in the doc(Chip Errata for the i.MX 6Solo/6DualLite).
I wonder why I can get this higher performance as in the doc 470mbit/s should be the MAX performance.
Also in the doc, when throughput beyond 400Mbit/s, there is a rick to cause ENET RX FIFO overrun. While in my test 580Mbit/s is far beyond this 400Mbit/s, so how can I configure HW or SW to avoid this risk.
Thanks.
Hi jerry
seems higher performance is obtained since some frames are skipped
due to RX FIFO overruns. Measurement procedure can be found below
