Hi

i have a Kwikstik board

i'm not able to detect the version

I loaded a demo that Cw 10.5 compiles, but i can't set the right device in run configuration,

I would like to choose K40DX256, but the K40X family  looks missing, despite K40DX familiy is present

Wich steps should i follow to have it running and debugging?

Many thanks

Diego

Hi Diego,

CW for MCU V10.6 is the last version.

I've installed all patches/updates and with this version the K40D Family is available in the project wizard.

The devices available are: MK40DX64, DX128, DX256, for 72Mhz and DN512, DN512Z, DX128, DX128Z, DX256, DX256Z, PK40N512, X128 and X256 for 100Mhz.

I've checked under my MCU V10.5 installation (all patches/Updates) and the devices are available too.

Attached the project I've created with MCU V10.5.

Now You're looking for K40X256 device and not K40DX256.

I've downloaded the KWIKSTIKDEMOSWLAB.zip file and in the KwikStik Demo Lab (Rev 0.5).pdf, we can see the demo example was created for IAR and CW for MCU v10.2 through MQX V3.7.

Under my old MCU V10.2 installation I've found some example sbased on MK40X256VMD100.

For my understanding you can create an example via the project wizard and select the PK40X256 device.

Attached you will find the K40 example delivered on MCU V10.2.

I recommend you to:

      - backup the \CW MCU v10.5\MCU\CodeWarrior_Examples\Kinetis_Examples\k40,

      - extract the new one,

      - via the Help+Welcome menu you can access the to the examples.

Have a great day,
Pascal
