Using X11 + EPDC results in "Division by zero in kernel" error under some conditions

I am using the Sololite i.MX6 evaluation board with a slightly modified 'fsl-image-qt5' image from the yocto build. When I run the mxc_epdc_fb_x11 test and fiddle around with the graphical interface a bit the test program terminates during a MXCFB_WAIT_FOR_UPDATE_COMPLETE ioctl call, notifying me of "Division by zero in kernel" error, and it also crashes the kernel in some cases. Check the attachment for a more detailed log.
How should I go about fixing this problem?
