Questions about the PCIE interface of MPC8308

Dear Sir:

We are now developing a product based on MPC8308 RDB. Our product is a PCIE card, which will be inserted into the PCIE slot on a computer. Now we have some questions about the PCIE interface, please help us:

       1. In the MPC8308 RDB schematics, the MPC8308 is connected to a mini PCIE connector, but I want to connect the MPC8308 to a  standard PCIE connector, because our product will be inserted into the standard PCI slot on a computer. Is there any reference design about connecting MPC8308 to a standard PCIE connector ?

       2. In the MPC8308 RDB schematics, the TXA pin and TXA# pin are connected with 0.1uF capacitors, why don't you connect them directly to the PCIE connector?

If there is a reference design about connecting MPC8308 to a standard PCIE connector, please offer it to me. Thank you very much!

1. We offer several MPC8308 reference boards, but none of them are done in PCIE card form factor, sorry.

2. This is done according to PCIE specification

4.3.1.2. AC Coupling

Each Lane of a Link must be AC coupled. The minimum and maximum value for the capacitance is

given in Table 4-5. The requirement for the inclusion of AC coupling capacitors on the

interconnect media is specified at the Transmitter.

Table 4-5 specifies 75-200 nF

By the way, How should we connect the SD_REF_CLK and  SD_REF_CLK# pins of MPC8308? Should they be connected to the PCI interface, or should they be connected to the clock generated by ourselves?

Thank you very much!

Dear Sir:

        Still about the first question:

        1. If there is no MPC8308 reference board are in PCIE card form factor, how should I design the PCIE interface?  How to connect the JTAG pins on PCIE interface, should they be left connected or be connected to the JTAG pins of MPC8308?  How to connect the PRSNT1# and PRSNT2# pins on PCIE interface?

(Note : We are using PCIE X1 interface).

Waiting for your answer, thank you very much!
