I may be involved in a project that needs to hook up the iMX6 to a different audio chip (seems like most eval boards are using the same Freescale codec).
I thought it would be a common access point on the (many) eval board headers; however after looking at two or three I'm seeing that most just provide audio jacks and use their own codec (no direct I2S access). Has anyone seen a compact imx6 eval board that allows me to hook up to its I2S bus?

Hi Ed
seems one can look at i.MX6 Wandboards, like
http://www.wandboard.org/images/downloads/wbquad-revb1-userguide.pdf
p.23, signals AUD3_* on J1B (MXM_3.0_CONNECTOR-X/281+E40)
Best regards

Igor,
Thanks for responding...
Yea, I'm aware of that connection point (I've played with a wandboard).
Unfortunately J1 is the main connector between the CPU module and
the carrier board, so there's no clean physical access to this on the carrier board
(at least not that I've discovered). I'm trying to avoid hacking the board if
possible; however, as my search continues, it may turn out that I have no
choice!
Thanks!
Ed
