No more "free" FreescaleCAN bean?

Hi all,

I was using the FreescaleCAN bean with Codewarrior (version 6 or 7) and now I find after upgrading to Unlimited Codewarrior V8.1 that the FreescaleCAN bean appears to now have a extra license restriction that has to be bought. Am I mistaken or did Metrowerks take a previously free feature away from us in the upgrade?

Hello,

The CAN was never free of charge.

Check you license, you should have a license for CAN.

Without this extract license you were allowed to add this bean but no code was generated.

Please contact your local Freescale distributor for details about this bean.
