hi guys

i'm new in this forum.
i'm starting an application with wireless module xbee (maxstream), I use MyWirelessApp created by beekit with XBee_Code_Development.zip.
I have a problem: I don't know what is the configuration for my board.
When i push the switch in board, no event is generated. This is the reason that I think the mapping of hardware in my project is wrong.

Please help me out...

I have ordered two XBEE modules. They both are connected to two different computers using MAX232 and 74LS244(at 3.3V). I have connected Rx, Tx, 3.3v and Gnd.

Both the XBEEs are configured on both the computers using XCTU software and default configurations are used. I can write and read the commands.

But the xbees do not communicate with each other.. I tried the terminal in XCTU and also hyper terminal. But nothing happened.

Please find me a solution. Thanking you.

Hi Scholars:

I'm new to this forum and even newer to XBee and Beekit.

I am trying to do bidirectional communication with Maxstream's XBee development boards.  I use the demo MyWirelessApplication created by Beekit with XBee_Code_Development.zip, just like Riccardo.  My trouble is when i try to import the project to CodeWarrior(CW12 v2.1), i always get error about "Linker for HC08."  Would this mean I need to use Code Warrior (HC08 instead HC12 version)?

the error message states that:

the "Linker of HC08" could not be found.  Make sure that the linker for this tarket is in the "Linkers" folder in "CodeWarrior Plugins" folder.

Babu

Hello Babu, and welcome to the forum.

The Xbee product uses an HCS08 device, so you will need to download and install CW for HC08 on your computer, if it is not already present.

If you normally access CW by double clicking on the project (.mcp) filename, you may not start with the correct version of CW.  It would seem that the default version may be the one that was installed last.  This is something you will need to check.

Regards,
Mac

Hi Rick,

Please make sure that you check that your Beekit version matches what the maxstream documentation states.

If you just downloaded our Beekit, then you probably have a version that is newer than what MaxStreams installer requires, and you should contact their support and request an update:

http://www.maxstream.net/support/knowledgebase/article.php?kb=168

Else please try and follow the instructions again as they seem to be very detailed.
