you can two alternatives, first yocto (also please read attached Freescale_Yocto_Project_User's_Guide.pdf)

Yocto Training - HOME

L3.10.53_1.1.0_iMX6QDLS_Bundle : i.MX 6Quad, i.MX 6Dual, i.MX 6DualLite,

i.MX 6Solo Linux Binary Demo Files and Linux BSP Documentation

second - ltib, for that first read below appnote

http://cache.freescale.com/files/dsp/doc/app_note/AN3875.pdf

the attached files

L3.0.35_4.1.0_ER_SOURCE_BSP : i.MX 6Quad, i.MX 6Dual, i.MX 6DualLite,

i.MX 6Solo and i.MX 6Sololite Linux BSP Source Code Files.

Best regards

igor

Hi JooWon

SD is needed for rootfs, also one can use NAND or nfs instead SD.

Please read Linux User Guide for available options.
