Just installed KDS 2.0.0.

Following steps in "Getting Started with Freescale MQX RTOS for Kinetis SDK and Kinetis Design Studio IDE", Doc No: KSDKGSKDSUG.

Sec 2.1: Installing MQX RTOS Task Aware Debugger for GDB plug-in (TAD)

Try to access:

Freescale KDS Update Site - http://freescale.com/lgfiles/updates/Eclipse/KDS

Get error:

Unable to read repository at http://freescale.com/lgfiles/updates/Eclipse/KDS/content.jar

I have verified that this still works with KDS 1.1.0.

Does anyone have a work around for this?

Thanks,

Hi Jeffrey,

I was able to access the update using KDS2.0.0.

But I had to only select the TAD update by itself to get it to install.

I then did re-start and re-peated the process for the Project in Project update to allow importing Working Sets.

Regards,

David

Which platform are you on?

I am not able to access the update with KDS 2.0.0 (W7x86 or W7x64).

I can access the update with KDS 1.1.1.

I will try this again later from home and off of our corporate network.

Any other ideas?

Thank you for your update.

Best regards,

Hi Jeffrey,

I’m on W7x64.

I am assuming you updated the Eclipse first by pointing to the KSDK following path?

C:\Freescale\KSDK_1.1.0\tools\eclipse_update

The picture of my “Available Software” updates is:

NOTE: I only check on box, to the update. Restart the IDE, then do the other box. Then restart again.

David

David,

I did update eclipse as you describe.  I did not get the picture of your available software updates.

From KDS_2.0.0, I keep getting the provisioning error:

Unable to read repository at http://freescale.com/lgfiles/updates/Eclipse/KDS/content.jar.

This is an ongoing problem...

I was able to install "MQX Task Aware Debugger for GDB" by making a local mirror of:

http://freescale.com/lgfiles/updates/Eclipse/KDS

I had to use my PExDrv v10.4 eclipse install to make the local mirror copy.

**My KDS_2.0.0 exlipse install could still not get at the update site.

(I could email you an error log...)

I followed these steps to generate the command lines that got me the local mirror:

http://mcuoneclipse.com/2014/07/03/replicating-an-eclipse-update-site-for-offline-usage/

Once I got a local mirror of the updates, I was able to update KDS_2.0.0 with "MQX Task Aware Debugger for GDB".

I found a painful workaround, but not a fix...

Can confirm--I was only able to install after creating a mirror of the repo.

I found this guide very helpful: https://mcuoneclipse.com/2014/07/03/replicating-an-eclipse-update-site-for-offline-usage/
