TWR-VF65GS10-PRO GUI Tutorial Available?

I have a TWR-VF65GS10-PRO and I was wondering if there are any tutorials or samples for creating GUIs on the LCD Display.  I've tried reading the demo code that came on the SD Card, but it's encrypted so I can't read anything on it in DS-5.  I've also installed the Freecale embedded GUI converter but I don't know exactly how to interact it with DS-5 and my tower.

Thanks in advance :smileyhappy:

Hello Erik,

The Vybrid out of box demo source should be a good starting point for creating a GUI on the LCD display of the Vybrid Tower. This is a Qt-based GUI running in Linux.

If you are not yet using the Desktop Factory, you can obtain the Desktop Factory installer from our following Starting Point build, which contains the OOBE demo sources (out-of-box-experience demo):

https://linuxlink.timesys.com/build/viewBuildOutput.xhtml?path=output&buildId=39155

Follow the instructions on this page for downloading the Desktop Factory installer, and building the Desktop Factory on your host PC. Once the build completes, the sources will be located in your top-level Desktop Factory directory, at build_*/vybrid-out-of-box-demo-1.1/.

If you would prefer to not work with the Desktop Factory, you can simply download and install the SDK from the above Starting Point build. The SDK contains the Factory build output, including the binary cross-compile toolchain necessary to build the OOBE demo. I have attached the OOBE demo sources that you can use with the SDK (same sources that are provided and built by the Desktop Factory).

Once you have built the Desktop Factory or installed the SDK, you can use Qt Creator, TimeStorm, or DS-5 with the TimeStorm plugins installed to import and modify/build the OOBE demo. TimeStorm and the TimeStorm plugins can be downloaded at the following links, respectively:

https://linuxlink.timesys.com/ide

https://linuxlink.timesys.com/download

Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions.
