I am trying to install SDK V1.6 in external Seagate harddisk in Ubuntu 10.04. Install folder location is given as /media/Seagate \Backup\ Plus\ Drive/ . It gives error readlink: extra operand 'Backup'. Am I missing something here ?
Why several slashes "/" are changed to backslashes "\" and why there is a space after "Seagate" ?
If this is a folder location it shoud be /media/Seagate/Backup/Plus/Drive/
Folder name is "Backup Plus Driver" .If I don't give backslash, Ubuntu doesn't recognize it as one folder.
I can se folder contents only using these backslashes and space
$ ls /media/Seagate\ Backup\ Plus\ Drive/
aaa
Autorun.inf
BackupPlus.ico

Ok, thanks for clarification.
In this case I think "extra operand" error just means the installator does not understand spaces in folder name. Try using brackets or rename folder to "Backup_Plus_Driver" or to "Backup", or simply move the file to another location.
