HDMI DDC on linux-fslc/mainline with i.MX6

Hello all,

I've been trying to get HDMI up and running on the linux-fslc/mainline kernel (specifically 3.14.14), and there doesn't seem to be a way to use the actual DDC_SDA/SCL lines (e.g. via ROW3/COL3 mux) on the i.MX6Q/D SoCs.

Most of the available EVMs have the DDC i/o share a standard I2C channel, causing issues/tradeoffs with the 100kHz restriction on ddc traffic.

I know this support existed before (though crammed into the HDCP support) on older kernels, but is there a patchset for this support that I'm not finding?

Does someone know if there are plans to support this feature of the i.MX6 in mainline?

Chris,

Please use kernel 3.16 instead of 3.14.14. DDC works fine in this kernel version on some boards Iike mx6qsabresd, cuboxi, wandboard.

Hi,

Are you trying to use the SDA and SCL lines for the HMDI? I have tried this with our official release  to read the EDID and it worked, but I  have not tried with mainline.

I do not know if you are trying to achieve something similar.

Best Regards,

Alejandro
